Description
This is an impressive, large antique cast iron six-light Gothic Revival lantern, circa 1910. This magnificent lantern-style chandelier features six Gothic arch panels, each ornamented with a pair of Gothic arches and a spike. The panels have been fitted with beautiful seeded glass (pictured). Substantial bands run along each edge of the lantern, meeting at the top below a trefoil finial. The base of the lantern is finished in a torsade pattern followed by a scalloped edge, and the bottom of the lantern features a round seeded glass panel, allowing light to shine through the base of the chandelier. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18 ¾” wide and 39” tall, and the fixture is 79” long overall. It is very heavy.
