This is a wonderful antique Art Deco single-light slip shade pendant, circa 1925. The light begins at the top with a canopy ornamented with torsade trim and stylized foliate detail, and comes down in a chain to a diamond-shaped loop finial that intersects with a volute semicircle. The pendant’s body attaches to the semicircle at each end, formed of two bands with geometric ends, which come down the sides of the pendant, supporting the shade, and meet at the bottom with a volute finial that finishes in a palmette. The hexagonal slipper shade features an abstract geometric design. This light fixture is in very good antique condition, with one tight hairline in the glass (pictured) that is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the piece. The pendant has been professionally wired for electricity and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. It measures 5 ½” wide, 15 ½” tall, and 33 ½” long overall.
