Description
This is a wonderful antique two-light brass Neoclassical chandelier, circa 1905. The chandelier begins with a foliate canopy, coming down in a chain to a twisted pole that ends in a beautifully cast tassel. The tassel supports an oval chandelier body featuring foliate detail on the underside and a J-shaped, reeded arm on each end. Each arm supports a foliate-bordered wax pan and candle cup. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 21” wide, 7 ½” deep, and 17” tall, and the fixture is 35” long overall.
