Description
This is a magnificent pair of antique double-arm Louis XVI cast bronze sconces, dating from the early 1900’s. Each sconce features an elongated backplate crowned with an urn and leaf-and-dart detail, with a garland of bellflowers running down the backplate. The bottom of the backplate is finished in leaf detail. Reeded, S-curved arms extend from either side of the backplate, supporting fluted bobeches with beautifully cast tiny beads. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 14 3/8” tall, 11” wide, and project 6 ½” from the wall.
