Description
This is a wonderful pair of antique Federal double-arm brass sconces, dating from the 1930’s. The figural sconces are crowned with a splendid eagle with leaves at his feet. Below is a smooth round back plate with a leaf-and-berry border. The arm receiver bowl at the base of the sconce is formed of leaves, with two smooth U-shaped arms extending from it. Each arm ends in a simple wax-pan and a candle-cup encircled with a simple ribbed pattern. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 12 ½” tall, 12” wide and project 5” from the wall.
