Description
This is a wonderful pair of antique cast iron Neoclassical double-arm sconces, c. 1925, in their original polychrome finish. The sconces feature a grapevine design, with polychrome grape clusters and leaves surrounding the textured cream-colored center of the backplate. Two arms, each ornamented with leaf detail, extend from the lower part of the sconce to support foliate bobeches with clusters of grapes below. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 12 3/8” tall, 8 ¾” wide, and project 3” from the wall.
