Description
This is a beautiful pair of antique Neoclassical single-arm figural sconces with prisms, circa 1910, in their original silver plate over brass. Each sconce features a cameo with an Art Nouveau woman’s profile, with flowers in her hair. Above, the backplate is ornamented with leaves and abstract detail. A fluted, J-shaped arm extends from the bottom of the back plate to support a support a silver plated bobeche with a foliate border, hung with “icicle” prisms. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 12 ½” tall, 3 ¾” wide, and project 5 ¼” from the wall.
