Description
This is a wonderful pair of antique Adam style single-arm sconces, in their original silver plate over pewter. Made by Empire, circa 1910, the sconces feature a beautifully detailed shield-shaped backplate, crowned with an urn and bordered in foliate detail. A leaf-detailed arm extends from the bottom of the backplate, supporting a silver plated bobeche with a geometric pattern. These wall lamps are in very good antique condition with a beautifully aged finish; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 9 ½” tall, 4” wide, and project 4” from the wall.
