Description
Magnificent matching pairs of antique single-arm figural sconces in cast iron, dating from the 1920’s. Each sconce features a hammered shield shaped back plate, topped with a gryphon and unicorn holding a crown. A single sconce arm extends from the center of the backplate to support a crenellated bobeche; the bobeche finishes in a substantial twisted finial ornamented with bellflowers at top and bottom. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
