Rare Pair of Sheffield Style Sconces, Early 1900s

Out of stock

This pair of Sheffield style sconces is not just a very rare to find, but a uniquely large pair of sconces as well. The sconces are made of cast brass, and begin with a foliated and curled top finial. The body of the sconces has an urn type shape and displays the stylish lines and distinguishing shell-like ribbing of the Sheffield style. Each of the sconces two arms are interestingly banded to the body, curled at the start and demonstrating a U-curve to the base of the elegant bobeches. Sheffield lighting is able to harmonize with interiors from modest to extravagant, and will compliment many styles of décor. These have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The measurements are 16 ½” long, 9 1/8” wide, and protrude 4 ½” from the wall.
