Description
This is a superb pair of antique double-arm Spanish Revival sconces, dating from the 1920’s. The backplate of each sconce is crowned with a splendid design of volutes and foliate detail. Each backplate features a wavy border, with grapevines and clusters near the top. The backplate finishes in a cluster of leaves, with an imposing twisted spike extending downward. The double arm is fastened to the back plate with a simple appliqué, and supports two bobeches finished in matching twisted spike finials. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 13” tall, 8 ¼” wide, and project 4 ½” from the wall.
