Description
This dazzling antique chandelier retains its original copper flashed finish. The chandelier begins with a steeply inverted, dome canopy adorned with a leafy appliqué. The chandelier rod is met just above the body by a gorgeous decorative plate growing up and outward into foliated details, which combines with the baluster shaped body to create a styled urn form. Encompassing the chandelier’s body, four arms are U-curved to meet Sheffield style shades. The shade holders are marked “patent June 13 1899.” The piece finishes with a corresponding leafy finial. It is amazingly rare to find the original copper flashing in such mint condition. This chandelier is in excellent condition. The light fixture has been professionally rewired, and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The overall diameter is 27 ½”; the overall length is 22 ½”.
