This is a beautiful antique five-tier, three-light “wedding cake” chandelier, circa 1910. The chandelier begins with its original silver plated canopy, which is ornamented with a floret and foliate motif followed by a rope pattern. The body of the chandelier is crowned with a finely cast loop finial, which is attached to a gorgeous five-armed cluster, from which hang five crystal teardrops. The pewter disk of the chandelier is surrounded by a magnificent, intricate border, which features volute, foliate, and rope detail, and is draped in a splendid garland with crystal teardrops. Five tiers of sparkling “icicle” prisms descend to meet a lovely, faceted crystal sphere. This spectacular tiered light fixture is in excellent condition, and all the prisms are also in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired, and it comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This chandelier is 18” wide and 55” tall overall; from the crystal sphere to the top of the final, the chandelier measures approx. 33”.
