This is a striking pair of antique Spanish Revival single-arm sconces, dating from the 1920’s, retaining their original, beautifully aged polychrome finish with blue accents. Each sconce features a shield-shaped back plate with a center floret button and floral design. A triad of leaves rests near the top of the back plate, directing the viewer’s eye to a striking finial. Near the base of the back plate is the turn switch, ensconced in the center of an urn, from which spring five stylized blooms. The base of the back plate is finished in volute detail. The sconce arm extends outward from the floret button and supports a fabulous bobeche ornamented with blue floret and foliate detail and balanced below by a small finial. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with functioning turn switches; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 4 3/8” wide, 12” tall, and extend 5 ¼” from the wall.
