Description
This is a beautiful cast opaline glass inverted bowl three-light chandelier from 1910 with original, fabulously aged, bronze mounts. The shade has a foliate detailed center and a superbly cast wide border around the rim, depicting elegant urns joined by beaded swags with bellflower centers. The mounts have intricately cast foliates, flowers, volutes and a ring made of two kissing swans. The chandelier is crowned with egg-and-dart detailed canopy. This marvelous light fixture would suit a multitude of decors and is sure to make a statement in any room. The chandelier is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the shade, just the expected roughness around the rim of the glass. It has been professionally rewired, and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The overall diameter is 16 ½” and the overall length is 29”.
