Description
This is a splendid antique gilded five-light chandelier with crystal, circa 1910. The chandelier begins with a gilded loop finial resting in a scalloped glass bowl; below, bright gold-plated bands, hung with icicle prisms and sleek teardrops, curl together to form the chandelier body. A reeded pole runs down the center of the chandelier, surrounded by gilt leaves. Springing from each leaf is a delicate, curled rod hung with a teardrop prism. Reeded, S-curved chandelier arms support scalloped glass bobeches hung with magnificent French crystal pendalogues. The chandelier finishes in a leaf appliqué, from which hangs a faceted crystal ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19 ¼” wide and 25 ½” tall, and the fixture is 38 ½” long overall.
