Description
This is an impressive pair of oversized ca. 1920’s Spanish Revival single-arm iron sconces that retain their original, near mint, polychrome finish. The sconces have elongated back plates with large honeysuckle center motif toward the top, and masterfully cast volutes and foliate detail. The C-shaped sconce arms are skillfully buttoned by single florets to the backs. They spring up to accept the leafy wax-pans and tulip-shaped candle-cups. The wall lamps are in excellent condition and are signed by their maker, Moe Bridges Co. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia sake; however, we would gladly replace them with new ones if so desired. They are 17” long, 4 ¾” wide, and protrude 7 ¼” from the wall.
