Description
This is a gorgeous antique Georgian five-light chandelier, in its original silver plate. Circa 1910, this silver plated chandelier begins with a cluster of acanthus leaves, with a fabulous teardrop prism hanging from each leaf. Below the acanthus cluster is a clear glass orb, followed by a silver plated baluster section. Five sleek, sinuous chandelier arms attach to the chandelier via silver balls. Each arm is adorned with a leaf appliqué, from which hangs a teardrop prism. The scalloped glass bobeches, ornamented with a stylized leaf design, rest atop leaves hung with unusual crystal teardrops. The chandelier finishes in a foliate appliqué, from which hangs a tassel finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The width of the chandelier is 21”, the length of the chandelier body only is 18”, and the overall length is 39 ½”.
