These are three matching antique figural sconces with knights in armor, circa 1920’s, retaining their original polychrome finish. These double-arm Spanish Revival sconces are signed by their maker, Riddle Company. The sconces feature two addorsed medieval knights guarding the shield-style back plate. The backplates are ornamented with polychrome foliate details, and two hammered arms extend from the bottom of each back plate to support hammered bobeches with leaf accents. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctional turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. Each sconce measures 9 ½” tall, 9 ¾” wide and projects 3 ¼” from the wall.
