Description
These are three matching antique double-arm Georgian sconces, in their original silver plate with prisms. The sconces, dating from the 1920’s, feature a finely cast oval back plate crowned with ribbons and bordered in bellflowers. The center of the back plate is ornamented with a large starburst. A reeded arm extends outward from each side of the sconce, supporting a simple, silver plated wax-pan, hung with “icicle” prisms, and a sleek, silver-plated candle-cup. The bottom of the back plate finishes in an elongated foliate design. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 8 ¼” wide, 11” tall, and have a projection of 4 ½”.
