Description
This gorgeous pair of double-arm antique sconces dates to the beginning of the 19th century. Originally found in a St. Louis home, these dual-finish sconces are a treasure to be coveted. They have an absorbing figural back plate featuring clover, iris and bird embellishments with acanthus leaf gracing the top and bottom. The brass-plated stylized Fleur-de-lis bobeches are set on branching arms which are beautifully protected by ornate lion heads and decorated with folia and braided rope trimming. These antique sconces would accent any décor. The wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired, come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation and have working switches. They are 10 ¾” long, 8 ½” wide and protrude 3 ½” from the wall.
