Description
This is a remarkable pair of antique three-arm sconces, c. 1925. They feature a horizontal backplate with three L-shaped arms, which are fastened to the backplate with small red and blue buttons. Each arm supports a simple cup-shaped bobeche with a ruffled edge. A twisted wrought iron band comes up from the top of the backplate in an inverted V shape, crowned with a floret, so that the sconces give the illusion of hanging from the floret. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 9 ¾” tall, 12” wide, and project 4 ½” from the wall. A matching pair of two-arm sconces (pictured in the last photo) is listed separately under item # NSP386-RW.
