Description

This very special chandelier dates to the 1920’s. The chandelier is constructed of cast iron and displays five arms surrounding one center light. The hammered body of this gorgeous chandelier encloses five original honey-colored panels of mica, which creates a backlit, muntined window facade. Each pane of mica is separated by bowed and curled straps, which encase the chandelier’s body and support L-curved bands leading out towards simple hammered bobeches. Each of the five bobeches is complimented by leafy finials. The piece as a whole is suspended from a hammered and ornate canopy, and then completed by a bouquet bottom finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This chandelier is 17 ½” at its widest; the length of the chandelier only is 22 ½”; the total length is 39 ½”.
