A lovely vintage glass basket chandelier, dating from the 1940’s and salvaged out of a home in Detroit, MI. This lovely chandelier begins with an understated brass canopy that comes down in chain to a loop finial perched above a small platform. Beautiful slender rods spring above the platform to hold strands of sparkling prisms; below, the chandelier body features an Empire style canopy of graduated crystal prisms, cascading out to a round brass band. From the band, the chandelier descends to a basket composed of beads matching the upper portion, converging to a crystal finial center at the bottom. This light fixture is in excellent condition, as are the original prisms; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 10” wide and approx. 19-1/2” tall (body only), and the fixture is approx. 27-1/4” long overall.
