Description
This is a fantastic antique Neoclassical five-light chandelier, circa 1910, in its original silver plate. This silver plated chandelier begins with an elegant acanthus loop finial, from which extend five fluted, J-shaped arms with gadrooned wax pans and simple candle cups. In the center of the chandelier is a dangling silver plated tassel. Below, five beautifully cast flowers with on stems rise from a cluster of leaves. Pieces ornamented with volutes and leaves rise from the bottom of the chandelier to meet the chandelier arms. The bottom of the chandelier is finished in a foliate medallion with a small tassel at the bottom. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The width of the chandelier is 17 ½”, the length of the chandelier body only is 23”, and the overall length is 37 ½”.
