This fascinating pair of antique five-light chandeliers, circa 1910, is made of silver plate over brass. Modest in design, the chandeliers begin with a bell-shaped canopy, which is joined by a chain to a “spinning top” shaped peak displaying a tassel-shaped finial beneath. Five ribbed rods, which display addorsed tulips in the middle and create the open frame of this piece, descend to a bottom pan, which supports five U-curved ribbed arms, which surround a second tassel finial and support understated bobeches. These chandeliers are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
