A stunning pair of Neoclassical bronze sconces by E.F. Caldwell, dating from the early 1900’s, and found in a home in Eerie, PA. Each figural sconce features a backplate bordered by bellflowers, with a stylized ram’s head at its center; above, the backplate is crowned with a fancifully knotted ribbon. Slender brass arms extend from the center of the backplate to support whimsical bobeches and candle cups. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 11-3/4″ wide, 22″ tall, and project 7″ from the wall.
