A fabulous pair of antique double-arm sconces in their original polychrome finish, patented in 1927 and made by Markel Lighting Products of Buffalo, NY. Each cast iron sconce is crowned by a volute and foliate top finial; below, the backplate has a seeded texture with florets, leaves, and a gadrooned central rosette. Two arms extend from the bottom of the back plate to support beaded and gadrooned bobeches. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 7-1/4″ wide, 9-1/2″ tall, and project 3-1/2” from the wall.
