Description
This is an incredible antique two-tone chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, salvaged out of a home in Norfolk, VA. The fixture begins with a decorative canopy and descends by a sturdy chain to an ornate finial formed by intertwined serpents. A sculptural eagle with outspread wings crowns the body, resting above a distinctive black orb accented by a gilt band. Six gracefully scrolling arms extend outward from the base, each supporting a candle-style light with classic drip sleeves and simple bobeches, evoking the refined look of traditional candelabra. The contrast between the rich black finish and warm gilt detailing lends the piece a sophisticated and timeless presence. This light fixture is in excellent condition with a beautifully aged finish; the chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier measures 21-3/8” wide, 20” tall, and 32-1/2” tall overall.
