A stunning antique eight-light transitional figural chandelier, originally half gas and half electric, now all wired for electricity. Dating from the late 1890’s, this Neoclassical chandelier begins with a sleek beaded canopy that comes down in rod to meet a small leafy platform below. The platform perches above the chandelier’s pan-style body, which is adorned with winged cherubic figures. Eight curling arms extend from the body, each supporting an understated bobeche with beaded detailing along the edge. Four of the fixture’s arms feature a non-functioning floral gas key. The lamp finishes in a pinecone finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 22″ wide by 39-1/4″ long overall.
