A wonderful pair of antique Spanish Revival cast iron sconces, signed by Champion Lighting Company, c.1920. Each backplate features a knight in armor perched above a pierced design of lions, both flanking a crest and crown; a mica panel sits behind the backplate and shows through the pierced design. A single arm reaches out from the below to support wax pans ornamented with shields. Decorative foliate finials suspend below each wax pan. These single-arm sconces are in excellent condition and retain their original beautiful bronze wash over iron finish. They have been professionally rewired, and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 4-5/8” wide, 11-3/8” tall, and project 5-1/4” from the wall.
