A regal pair of double-arm sconces with their original polychrome detailing, salvaged out of a home in Minneapolis, MN and dating from the early 1900’s. Each sconce begins with an oval, scalloped back plate; the back plate showcases a hammered center oval, which is surrounded by roping detail. The outer edge of each back plate is gadrooned in a fleur-de-lis band and flanked in corresponding red castle towers on either side. The upper part of the back plate is decked with a crown that settles just above a knight’s shield. These wall lamps are in excellent antique condition; they have been professionally rewired, and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original non-functioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. Each sconce measures 10” wide, 11” tall, and project 4”.
