Wonderful antique Neoclassical brass lantern with original slag glass, dating from the 1920’s, and found in Charlotte, North Carolina. This pendant light begins with an understated canopy, coming down in a chain to a simple loop finial which affixes to the roof of the fixture. The lantern roof slopes down to a hexagonal overhang with tassels hanging from each corner. The body below features six panels of beautiful amber slag glass, separated by bands with bead-and-reel trim. The hexagonal lantern base finishes in a functional on/off pull chain. This pendant is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the edges. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. The lantern measures 16” tall, 10” wide, and 32” overall.
