This is a beautiful antique three-tiered wedding cake chandelier, dating from the early 1900’s, and found in a home in Louisville, KY. This silver plate over brass one-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with an understated canopy that comes down in chain to a decorative loop finial attached to a leafy baluster-shaped upper body; baluster perches above a band featuring an intricately cast Neoclassical floral motif. Suspended below are three tiers of sparkling icicle prisms, finished in a faceted glass ball. This petite light fixture is in very good condition with aging on the upper body (as pictured,) and it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 8-1/2″ wide and 18-1/2” tall; the fixture is 34-1/4” long overall.
