An amazing antique five-light Spanish Revival chandelier with shield details, dating from the 1920’s, and found in a home in Charleston, SC. This chandelier begins with an understated canopy that comes down in chain to a roped loop finial. Below, a cluster of five curled iron bands descend to form the chandelier’s open body; the bands are connected by cast iron crests, each surrounded by hammered volute detail. At the bottom of the fixture, five bands extend outwards and up to support crenelated bobeches. The chandelier finishes in a dangling finial featuring a coordinating crest. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19″ wide and 22-1/2″ tall, and the fixture is 40-1/2″ long overall.
