A handsome antique cast iron Tudor five-light chandelier by Virden, dating from 1920 and salvaged out of a home in Boston, MA. The fixture begins with a hammered canopy that comes down in five chains to support a ring-shaped, cast iron chandelier body with hammered detailing. Five arms extend outward from the body to support hammered bobeches and exposed bulbs. On the underside of the chandelier, volute details converge into a foliate medallion, from which hangs a scroll-and-leaf finial. This light fixture is in excellent antique condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19″ wide, 10″ tall, and the fixture is 28-1/2″ long overall.
