A stunning antique Empire style chandelier with prisms, dating from the early 1900’s and found in a home in New York. This chandelier begins with a simple ceiling canopy, coming down in chain to a loop finial and small platform below. The upper chandelier body features an Empire style canopy of graduated crystal prisms, cascading out to a round brass band. The decorative band is ornamented with stylized floral cut-outs, from which six smooth arms curl out from the band to support petal-shaped bobeches hung with “icicle” prisms. The chandelier continues below with three tiers of sparkling prisms and is finished in a hanging faceted ball. This light fixture and its prisms are in very good condition with some expected fleabites (as pictured); it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is approximately 28-3/4″ wide, 41-1/4” tall (body only) and 58-1/2″ long overall. This item requires a custom shipping quote; please contact us if you have any questions.
