An attractive antique five-light Art Deco chandelier, dating from the 1920s and found in a home in Charleston, SC. The chandelier begins with a decorative hexagonal canopy, and comes down in a short rod and chain to a loop finial below. The finial perches above the open chandelier body with geometric detailing, the underside of which is ornamented with stylized foliates, volutes, and characteristic Art Deco ziggurat detail. Five arms curl out to support downward-facing bobeches. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 21-1/2″ wide and 20″ tall, and the fixture is 38″ long overall.
