Description

This is a wonderful antique five-light Neoclassical chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, and found in a home in Franklin, TN. The chandelier begins with a grooved and foliate embellished canopy, descending in a short rod and chain to meet a loop finial atop a platform. The platform descends to meet the urn shaped body; both of which are ornamented with complementary foliate detailing. Five arms extend from the perimeter of the urn, each affixing to a decorative shade holder. Each holder supports a stunning, opalescent shade ornamented with bows, leafy swags, volutes, and stylized foliates. An acorn finial completes the chandelier. This light fixture is in excellent condition; the glass shades are also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This light fixture measures 18-1/4″ wide, 18-1/4” tall, and 35” long overall.
