A marvelous pair of antique Neoclassical sconces in their original two-tone finish of brass and pewter, dating from the early 1900s. Each of these double-arm sconces feature a finely cast pewter back plate crowned with a stylized anthemion swaged in ribbon. A pair of grooved brass arms extend from the bottom of the back plate to support leafy two-part bobeches. These wall lamps are in excellent condition and have been professionally rewired; they come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake. The sconces measure 9-5/8” wide, 11-1/2” tall, and have a projection of 4-5/8”.
