This is a wonderful pair of antique Neoclassical sconces in their original two-tone finish of brass and pewter, c. 1900s. Each of these double-arm sconces feature a finely cast pewter back plate crowned with a lattice pattern that is bordered by volutes and acanthus leaves. A pair of grooved arms extend from the bottom of the back plate and support two-tone foliate wax pans and candle cups. These wall lamps are in excellent condition and have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake. The sconces measure 9-1/4” wide, 12-1/4” tall, and have a projection of 5-1/2”.
