Description
Extraordinary antique brass ten-light transitional Gothic Revival sconce, originally half gas and half electric, now all wired for electricity. Dating from the late 1800s, the body of the sconce features exquisite casting, with an urn at its center surrounded by trefoil and quatrefoil detail. Five arms support elegant wax pans and candle cups which hold upward facing lights, each accented with their original decorative gas keys. The five downward facing lights feature amazing bobeches with cutouts and leafy detailing. This wall lamp is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconce measures 23†tall, 23†wide, and project 20″ from the wall.
