Description

A fantastic antique cast iron fireplace cover, dating from the early 1900s and ornamented with figural details. The center of the summer cover is ornamented with an intricate Neoclassical design featuring anthemions, stylized flowers and foliates, volutes, swagged ribbons and heraldic dolphins. This summer cover is in very good antique condition with a painted patina and is missing one of its buttons. It measures 20-1/8” wide, 20-7/8” tall, and is 1-3/4″ deep.
