A handsome antique cast iron fireplace summer cover set dating to the late 19th century, featuring a richly detailed insert panel set within a simple, classically styled surround. The central cover depicts a majestic stag with branching antlers, accompanied by deer in a natural woodland setting, rendered in high relief with remarkable depth and texture. This summer cover set is in very good antique condition (as pictured). The outer frame measures 26-1/4″ wide, 30-1/4″ tall, and is 2″ deep. The insert measures 19-3/4″ wide, 27″ tall.
