A beautiful cast bronze “New Old Stock” traditional doctor’s door knocker. The door knocker features an amazing brass finish, and features stepped design. Legend has it that this style of a door knocker was used in England to identify the door where the town’s doctor lived so a person who needed medical attention could easily determine where to go for help. The door knocker measures 1-1/4” wide, 7-1/2” tall, and projects 2-1/2”; the strike measures 2″ in diameter and projects 1-3/8″.
