Description
A gorgeous vintage four-light chandelier, salvaged from the historic “Windsor” home—also known as the Castle Above the Clouds—perched atop Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. Built in the 1930s by George and Elizabeth Scholze, the residence reflects the couple’s refined taste and attention to detail. George Scholze, second-generation owner of the prominent Scholze Tannery in Chattanooga, helped earn the city its nickname, “Saddle Capital of the World.”
This brass fixture begins with an understated canopy, and comes down in chain to an open chandelier body adorned with curtains of sparkling “icicle” prisms. Four arms extend outward from the lamp body to support coordinating understated brass bobeches. This light fixture is in excellent condition, has been professionally rewired, and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures approximately 10-3/4″ wide (square), 14-1/2″ wide diagonally, 27″ tall (body), and 42″ long overall.
