Description
Magnificent antique American stained and leaded glass transom window, dating circa 1900–1910 and salvaged from a home in Dayton, Ohio. The design combines late Victorian and Art Nouveau styles, with symmetrical scrollwork and a stylized palmette at the center.
The window features a beveled border of glue-chip textured glass, with beveled glass volutes surrounding the central design. Rippled amber and brown slag glass appears throughout, adding rich color and texture. A beautiful example of early 20th-century American stained glass craftsmanship.
The window is in good condition with several hairline cracks throughout (as pictured;) the frame is in very good condition. The window measures 56-1/2″ wide by 28″ tall and 1-3/4″ thick.
