An elegant pair of antique Neoclassical sconces in bronze by W&O, dating circa 1910 and found in a home in Arlington, VA. Each figural bronze sconce features an understated oval backplate framed with a border of raised foliate and acorn detailing; two heraldic dolphins crown the backplate. Two arms extend from the bottom of the backplate to support understated wax pans. These sconces are in very good condition with a beautifully aged patina. The sconces have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The simplicity of these sconces would make them a handsome addition to any décor from traditional to contemporary. Each sconce measures 12″ tall, 6-1/4″ wide, and has a projection of 5-1/4″.
